About Raspberry Pi
Raspberry Pi is both a charitable foundation that helps young people realise their potential through computing and technology, and a computer company that develops affordable hardware that has been widely adopted by industry and hobbyists, for applications from factory control to weather monitoring.
The Challenge
The trading company approached PeoplePay in late 2021 having gone through the payroll set-up process with another provider only to discover – towards the end of the month – that the supplier was unable to manage the transactional payment to its employees.
Our Solution
Our client was unable to facilitate US payments directly, with about a week left to pay employees and the payroll set up but unable to be processed. Our contact at Raspberry Pi signed an agreement with PeoplePay instructing us to manage the payment and was able to very quickly provide all the documentation we required, which allowed us to set up our processes and pay employees within five working days from the point of first contact – exceptionally fast for a payroll provider.
To resolve this issue quickly we had to collaborate very closely with the team at Raspberry Pi Ltd, communicating often over a short timeframe to collate the relevant data. It is notable that many payroll providers don’t carry out payments, so the majority of our clients use our payments platform, which can accommodate almost any global currency.
